Help ensure that one day replicas of the cannon rescued by Knox will
soon guard the grounds of Montpelier and serve as a constant reminder
of how our liberty was won in 1776.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT

fees and donations made by patriotic citizens such as you. Our needs

VOLUNTEER SUPPORT
We depend on our volunteers! During the summer they do everything from greeting visitors at the door, to providing an orientation and guided tour, to ringing up purchases at the Museum Gift Shop. Behind
the scenes, we work year round planning, implementing and publicizing
our programs, overseeing our collections, raising funds, soliciting
memberships, providing educational materials and tours to area school
children, purchasing for and clerking in the Museum Gift Shop, maintaining our plants, keeping our financial records accurate, designing
and maintaining our web pages and the myriad tasks necessary to keep
the museum operating smoothly. Additional volunteers are urgently
needed and warmly welcomed. If you live or summer in this area and
would like to donate your skills and time, please contact the Volunteer
Coordinator at Montpelier: (207) 354-8062.
CONTRIBUTE TO THE MUSEUM'S ANNUAL APPEAL
Each year the Museum reviews its most pressing needs and undertakes
a special campaign to raise funds to meet these needs. Past projects
have included building projects; the restoration of collection items;
and the collection catalog. Tax deductible donations are used specifically
to meet the needs identified.
OTHER GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
There are several creative ways that you might support the Museum
through estate planning.
