2012 Summer Teacher Institute Application Form

Open to history and social studies teachers • Anticipated course eligibility for up to 40 contact hours
• Offered in conjunction with the University of Maine, Hutchinson Center (3 credits);
Framingham State University, Framingham, MA 01701 (3 credits)

APPLICATION

Application must contain:
  1. A completed application form (below)
  2. A resume (limited to 2 pages).
  3. A statement (limited to 4,000 characters, approx. 500 words) in which the applicant describes how this course will strengthen them professionally, and demonstrates their intellectual curiosity, appreciation for historical scholarship, and creativity.
  4. Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from an immediate supervisor and written on official letterhead. Letters should address the applicant's work habits, teaching successes, and professional achievements.
