General Knox's Bedroom

General Knox's Bedroom

This room probably would have been the grandest bedchamber in the house, with a beautiful view down the St. Georges River. It is not clear with the evidence available whether the master of the house would have used it himself or reserved it for his guests (although his well known hospitality might suggest the latter).

It boasts a mahogany bedstead with a painted cornice, made by Benjamin Frothingham, Jr.
